Private Water Fly Fishing Colorado

Experience some of the finest private water fly fishing in Colorado just 45 minutes from Denver. We guide on an exclusive ¾-mile stretch of the North Fork of the South Platte River out of the renowned Two Bridges Lodge in Bailey. This section has been meticulously manicured to create optimal trout habitat, with deep pools, riffles, and prime structure holding big, aggressive fish.

The river is heavily stocked with trophy-class trout, making it a dream destination for anglers looking for size, numbers, and seclusion. For those looking to make it a full getaway, the lodge itself is available for overnight stays—a perfect option for multi-day trophy pursuits or relaxing evenings after a long day on the water.

Target Species

The river is home to a mix of rainbow, brown, brook, and even tiger trout, with most fish ranging from 16–24 inches—and some exceeding that. It’s primarily a nymphing fishery, and using small indicators or tight-line techniques is often the most effective method. Dry-dropper rigs can be productive in the warmer months, and if you’re after a trophy, swinging or stripping large 4–5″ streamers like articulated dungeons can lead to explosive strikes.

Where We Fish

We fish a pristine ¾-mile stretch of the North Fork, thoughtfully maintained to support thriving trout populations. The section is packed with diverse water types—riffles, deep holes, undercut banks, and submerged structure that holds fish year-round. Whether you’re sight-fishing to cruising rainbows or stripping streamers through a deep run, this fishery offers a high-chance, high-reward experience that will exceed expectations—especially so close to Denver.
